We are invited to join in praying for our youth and youth leaders as they join together for a Youth Retreat this Friday and Saturday at Hidden Acres. We pray for unity within the group, fun and laughter, safety and growing in their understanding of God’s love for them. Thanks to the Youth Leaders for your time, enthusiasm and care and prayers for our youth.

Snack Attack, our Tuesday afternoon snack program in the Chandler Mowat community, begins this Tuesday and continues for the duration of the school year. You are most welcome to join the Snack Attack Team on a weekly basis or whenever your schedule allows. We meet from 1:30 to 4:00. This is a wonderful opportunity to build loving and caring relationships with the children and youth in the CM community and to support their growth and development with healthy snacks at the end of a full school day.

Please join in praying for Snack Attack; for meaningful conversations, for God’s love to be given and received and for much joy as we build relationships.

Women are invited to attend our Women’s Retreat, September 26th through 28^th.  This is a time of growing in our faith and relationships while enjoying the beauty and rest of Hidden Acres Camp. Please contact Amanda (cnapot@gmail.com) with any questions and for registration details.

On Monday Oct 6th seniors are invited to learn from two organizations deeply involved in supporting asylum seekers and refugees. Experience the difficult decisions refugees make as they flee their homes. Better understand the complex issues of conflict, migration and refugees. Cost is $55 and includes lunch. Our Vision and Care team members serve the church through offering prayer, care and wise leadership around our vision.  The Vision and Care team members are:  Marlene Hoekstra, Frank Hoekstra, Gloria Lebold, Doris Maiolo, and Alisha Nafziger.

The Leadership Board brings prayerful leadership to our faith community, meeting monthly to ensure we fulfill our mission and vision and faithfully oversee the many areas of ministry of The Gathering. The members of the Board are: Wazir Ally,  Craig Nafziger and Chris Pot.
