This Sunday

We’re looking forward to joining together for morning worship at CMCC this Sunday for a 'Camp Sunday'. Chris & Amanda Pot, in their roles at Hidden Acres Mennonite Camp, will be joined by some summer camp staff, who are familiar to The Gathering, to lead our service. They will share stories and reflect on the value and impact of summer camp experiences on the lives of those who come to camp each year. Join us for these stories of hope and transformation as we continue our Lenten journey.

Easter Weekend

On Good Friday (March 29^th) we will join together at 10:30 for a time of reflection, song and prayer as we journey through the shadows of Jesus’ betrayal, death and burial. In this service we will join in remembering Jesus’ suffering. Together we will participate in communion.

There will be a program for the children for the duration of the service.

He is Risen! Join us on Easter Sunday at 10:30, as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus through songs of praise, reflections on the promises of God and the hope of Light bursting forth.

You are invited to bring something colourful to decorate our Lenten Logs which will be fully lit in celebration of resurrected hope.

Snack Attack!

Snack Attack is our weekly ministry of providing healthy snacks and encouragement to the children and youth of the Chandler Mowat community each Tuesday from 1:30 to 4:00. You are welcome to join in serving!

TGC | A/V Training & Working Session

Our Worship/Tech Team is looking for individuals willing to learn and serve. This would involve one Sunday per month, operating the EasyWorship program. This computer/tech program handles all PowerPoint slides/videos for our singing and messages, plus uploading the message to our online platform.

Upcoming formal training for Sound and A/V at The Gathering Church | Sunday, March 24, 2024.

Those interested in learning and volunteering are welcome to attend.

We will meet at Chandler Mowat Community Center before the service.

9 AM start and go until 2 PM. Please plan to stay for lunch if possible. Lunch will be provided by The Gathering Church.

Please RSVP Wazir Ally (wazir.ally@gmail.com) by Friday March 22, 2024 if interested in attending and for an accurate headcount to be anticipated in attendance before we place our lunch order.

Gathering Church Camping at Hidden Acres

Mennonite Relief Sale

This year’s MCC Mennonite Relief Sale is May 24-25th. We as a church will be popping/selling kettle corn once again. Volunteers will be needed throughout the weekend, please consider serving through this wonderful event. Contact Laura Ally for more details. lauraannally@gmail.com.

“Kettle Corn popcorn Training”

May 4th we’ll be hosting a “Kettle Corn popcorn Training” & Campfire evening. This evening is for everyone, it will be at the Gitzel’s home. Come anytime after 4:30pm. We will be supplying hot dogs to roast over the campfire, please bring a salad to share.

After dinner we will fire up the pop and have a refresher on how to make popcorn, and enjoy that together. Contact Laura Ally if you have questions

Hidden Acres 40th Annual Bowlathon

Hidden Acres Mennonite Camp's 40th Annual Bowlathon is happening again this year on April 6th! This is one of the camp’s main annual fundraising events with last year’s Bowlathon raising almost $30,000! Clothing Corner

As we anticipate our 3rd Annual Back-to-School clothing project in August 2024, check here for updates on clothing sales and tips for shopping for children's clothing. Please give all donations to Jenny-Lee Dippel.

We are accepting children's sizes - XS-XXL.

Tip #11

We are accepting gently-used clothing. As you clean out your children's closets in preparation for their spring wardrobes, please consider donating to our Back-to-School project.

All donations should:

have NO holes or stains
only be tops or bottoms (no underwear, pjs, swimsuits, etc)
be freshly laundered
be sorted by size and gender

If you are collecting on behalf of someone else, please double check that their contribution follows these requirements.
