Volunteer Opportunity Do you enjoy meeting people from around the world and talking about Mennonites? The Mennonite Story in St. Jacobs is an interpretive and tourist information centre seeking to creatively and respectfully share Mennonite history, culture and faith. Marriage Encounter of Eastern Canada presents their Valentines Banquet on Saturday, February 15th with refreshments beginning at 6:00 p.m. and dinner being served at 6:30 p.m. Come out to Waterloo North Mennonite Church (100 Benjamin Road, Waterloo) for a catered roast beef dinner with dinner entertainment featuring jazz musician Nathan Martin. Tickets are $45.0- with proceeds helping to support the ministry of Mennonite & Brethren Marriage Encounter. Tickets can be obtained by contacting Dave C at (519) 748-6862. Do you have old smartphones, tablets, desktops, iMac's, iPod's, or iPad's lying around? You can donate them to support the Community Cupboard (food and clothing bank for those people in Kitchener & area). All the money will go to support the Community Cupboard and each item is worth money, whether it is working or not. (It is helpful to know whether the device works or not, and the cellphone carrier - if applicable.) The money goes to support the 500+ food hampers which are given out each week. This is a year-end fundraiser. Drop your items off at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (137 Queen Street South, Kitchener) between 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Monday – Thursday.
