This SundayThis Sunday, we continue our Lenten journey together at CMCC at 10:30. We'll spend some time with Peter in a moment of confusion and see how his heart and eyes are open to a new understanding of Jesus as our servant leader.
It is good to celebrate with one another. Join us after service this Sunday for a special luncheon to celebrate Hans and Jutta's 68th wedding anniversary.
Next Sunday we will continue our journey into Lent.
Following next week's worship service we will meet for lunch and then move into our Annual General Meeting. This meeting is an important part of the life and mission of The Gathering Church. All are encouraged to attend.

Love My Hood GrantGood News--The Gathering is a Recipient of a Love My Hood Grant
We share this good news with deep thanksgiving and celebration. In the Fall, we applied for a City of Kitchener Love My Hood Grant to support Snack Attack. The City received our application with enthusiasm and encouragement for the good work being done each Tuesday. The City has generously granted The Gathering Church $8,000.00 to support our ongoing work in the Chandler Mowat community. We are grateful to our City for this financial gift that allows us to continue in our mission to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Learning about Food and Presence as Means of JusticeRockway Mennonite Collegiate Students to Join in Learning about Food and Presence as Means of Justice.
In the Fall, Josh Hill, principal of Rockway Mennonite Collegiate, connected with The Gathering after hearing about our ongoing presence in the Chandler Mowat community. Josh wondered how Rockway students might participate in learning about how serving food and being present to those living with less contributes to justice in our City. One Tuesday in March, April and May we will welcome different groups of Rockway students to join in preparing and serving snacks at Snack Attack. We look forward to welcoming and getting to know the students and hopefully modelling to them the ways of Jesus.
