Dear Gathering Church,

It is with a mix of sadness and thanksgiving that I let you know that Hans died this afternoon.  He died in peace surrounded by those who loved him.  Over the last few days his family has gathered, sharing stories, speaking words of love, releasing Hans to God and sharing the grief of losing someone they love.

In visiting with Hans over the past several days he communicated that he was at deep peace and was confident that God was welcoming him into eternal life. 

I know that we will miss Hans…his words of encouragement, his deep faith, his love of The Gathering. 

 Thank you for praying for Jutta and family as they grieve.

 I will communicate funeral details once they are made.
