This Sunday, we rest. We will not meet for worship this Sunday morning.

Next Sunday we will meet for morning worship at 10:30 at CMCC.

As we enter into this summer season where schedules change, where we may spend more time in creation and where we miss seeing one another, we offer this blessing from Psalm 46:

God is our refuge and strength…
    He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
The Lord Almighty is with us;
    the God of Jacob is our fortress.

During July and August, our many volunteers take time to rest. 

There will not be a nursery program or Kids Zone on Sunday mornings. If the weather is nice and if we have two adult volunteers, children will go outside for a time of supervised play during the sermon. If it is rainy or no adult volunteers, there will be colouring pages for the children to enjoy.

For our youth who are on staff at Hidden Acres Camp

For safe travels for those travelling

For the children, youth and families of Chandler Mowat over the summer months

For one another as we enter into the rhythms of summer

Catherine will be on vacation this summer July 13^th through August 11^th.  Rocco and Vision and Care members will be available to urgent pastoral care needs.

If you attend The Gathering Church, you are welcome to use all the resources on RightNow Media.  There are 100s of video resources that help us grow in our faith.  Using a video as a guide this summer is a way of growing in our relationship with God.

Once again this Fall, we will host our annual Women’s Retreat at Hidden Acres Camp. The dates for this year’s retreat are Friday October 2 to Sunday October 4. We are looking forward to a time of worship, growing in faith and relationships, enjoying creation and fun together. To help with planning, please let Ruth (office@gatheringchurch.ca) know by June 24th if you are interested in attending.  More details to follow.

Our Vision and Care team members serve the church through offering prayer, care and wise leadership around our vision.  The Vision and Care team members are:  Marlene Hoekstra, Frank Hoekstra, Doris Maiolo, and Alisha Nafziger.

The Leadership Board brings prayerful leadership to our faith community, meeting monthly to ensure we fulfill our mission and vision and faithfully oversee the many areas of ministry of The Gathering. The members of the Board are: Wazir Ally,  Rich Janzen, Craig Nafziger and Chris Pot.
