Join us this Sunday as we continue our Telling the Stories series.  We’ll explore stories that Jesus told and how the impact they have.

Next Sunday we will meet for play, worship, baptism and dinner at Hidden Acres Camp.  We will meet at 3:00 at Hidden Acres.  We will not be meeting at CMCC.

Please pray for Snack Attack. For relationships to form. For encouragement to be given and received and for the community to experience the love of God.

With the warm weather here, there are many opportunities for conversation and engagement with the children and youth at Snack Attack. Please continue to pray for God’s love to be received through a healthy snack pack, check-ins and care.

Snack Attack continues each Tuesday of the school year.

Thank you to the many volunteers who served Popcorn at the Relief Sale last weekend.  The Gathering contributed $6,000 to the $350,000.00 raised for global relief.

The Gathering used 74 litres of oil.  5 kg of salt. 40 kg of sugar.  700lbs of popcorn!!!

Thanks to the 6 children, 10 youth and 19 adults who contributed.

Over the past two years, The Board and staff team have been looking at the possibility of moving our office space which is presently on Activa Drive. We are pleased to announce that we have secured a new office space at the Community Christian Reformed Church on Bleams Road in Kitchener. The Gathering will have a designated office for staff and a room for storage. The new space will result in cost savings of greater than 50% compared to what we are currently paying. We are very grateful for these new spaces and the warm welcome by CCRC.

We will move offices at the beginning of September.  In order to prepare for the move we are hosting two “Let’s Pack Up The Space Together” evenings in June.  We hope that you will join one of these evenings of sorting, purging, and packing items in The Space.  Please let Catherine know if you are able to attend one or both evening.  (catherine@gatheringchurch.ca)

Once again this Fall, we will host our annual Women’s Retreat at Hidden Acres Camp. The dates for this year’s retreat are Friday October 2 to Sunday October 4. We are looking forward to a time of worship, growing in faith and relationships, enjoying creation and fun together. To help with planning, please let Ruth (office@gatheringchurch.ca) know by June 24th if you are interested in attending.  More details to follow.

Due to new insurance policies, we are not able to have a potluck at Hidden Acres.  We are able to serve pre-packaged foods.  If you would be able to contribute a pre-packaged salad, please let Ruth (office@gatheringchurch.ca) know to help with planning.  The church will provide supper and dessert.

• The Gathering and CM High School students as they work hard at the end of this semester

• Gathering Youth as they wrap up an amazing year of growing in faith, friendships and service

• Worship Service at HAC and for Tracy as she prepares for baptism

Being warmly greeted on Sunday mornings as we enter CMCC is often where our worship experience begins. Being greeted reminds us that we belong and are welcome. We would love for you to join our Greeting Team. Our Vision and Care team members serve the church through offering prayer, care and wise leadership around our vision.  The Vision and Care team members are:  Marlene Hoekstra, Frank Hoekstra, Doris Maiolo, and Alisha Nafziger.

The Leadership Board brings prayerful leadership to our faith community, meeting monthly to ensure we fulfill our mission and vision and faithfully oversee the many areas of ministry of The Gathering. The members of the Board are: Rich Janzen, Wazir Ally,  Craig Nafziger and Chris Pot.
